"I want to lose 20 lbs by Thanksgiving." Then it doesn't happen and we say, "Oh well, I tried." But all it really does is give us an opportunity to reevaluate why we made the goal in the first place. Losing 20 lbs is just as valid a goal the day after Thanksgiving as it was when you made it two months before. Not achieving a goal doesn't lessen its importance. So just make a new goal, and try again. It's pretty simple really.D. I was reading Patricia Wood's blog ...Aloha Robert. I was reading Patricia Wood's blog and thought I'd drop by but rather than just say hi, I wanted to comment on this post. I know it's an older post, so I hope you don't mind.

Last year I set myself the goal of finishing my novel by the time I turn 45. Well my birthday is just a little over a month away and unless a miracle happens and the words start flowing faster, I'm not going to make that goal.

But I like your idea. I can finish my novel and have it polished while I'm still 45.

Thanks for brightening my day.Susan Flemminghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00042940291826352798noreply@blogger.com
